What's new in the toilet?

So Much To Report From The Last Month!

I have been out of the country a good chunk of the last month, and unable to read much or do much writing of any kind. But also, much has happened.

Another protester was shot in cold blood in January in Wisconsin. This was the second citizen murdered within a week, and brought protests so vehement that in the last few days the leader of the operations there has announced the government was withdrawing. This retreat of the Federal Government, of course, is being painted as a "Mission Accomplished" thing, but they only arrested a few thousand immigrants. Wisconsin has around 70 thousand undocumented immigrants.

What people object to is 1)The invasion of States by militarized Federal law enforcement and 2)the arrest of lawful residents and citizens based on racial profiling. Many also object to the method of removal, and the demonization of immigrants, documented or not.

Here are some highlights I've missed over the last month:

January 20: President Trump signed an order that requires various Federal agencies that help families buy homes, to stop taking any action that would lead to the purchase of a family residence by an institutional investor. In my opinion, this is a good thing. It in no way makes up for my country turning into a facsist nation, however.

January 29: President Trump signed an executive order declaring that any country doing business with Cuba would be hit with higher tariffs. So far, other countries are refusing to do business with Cuba since the order, and Cuban citizens are suffering from extreme lack due to this.

February 7: The president signed an executive order declaring tariffs against any country doing business with Iran, very similar to the one signed against Cuba on January 29.

The regular bad news I've reported previously over the last year is still here, alive and well, much of it has intensified. But it's become normal now, unfortunately. I don't see it as newsworthy anymore, because it's normal. That's a terrible thing.
