Argentina First! Also, Trump Plans To Take $230 Million From Taxpayers

Previously I reported that Trump's Department of Treasury was going to bail out Argentina's failing government. At the time, we were going to purchase $20 billion in Argentine bonds and trade dollars for Argentine pesos. I also explained, historically, that we will likely never get our bond investments back. Further, the Argentine pesos we receive will almost certainly lose value.

Now, the amount we will investing Argentina has doubled to $40 billion. This is enough to fund Affordable Care Act subsidies for nearly two years. It's enough for a lot of things, in fact.

Further, President Trump has reduced the tariff on Argentinee beef to 0% which immediately created strong opposition from American cattle ranchers associations and their constituents, who immediately issued press releases. Cattle ranchers are among Trump's strongest supporters, historically.

In unrelated news, but noteworthy news, President Trump was rumored to take $230 million from the Department of Justice to pay himself back for all the trouble of the many investigations into his illegal behaviors. He confirmed this when he said he would donate all the money to charity.

Trump, who is also famous for using his charity for personal gain and fraud, will certainly not give the $230 million to charity. But whether he does or not, he is taking that money from us, the Americans whose money that is.
