In an emergency gathering of the top brass of every branch of military, President Trump declared that he will be using American cities as a training ground for the United States military.
Over the weekend, Trump ordered the Department of War to invade Portland, Oregon, and ordered the use of all necessary force to quell what he declared to be a war zone there. Meanwhile, Portlanders responded with videos and pictures of the peaceful and beautiful city they've built.
In a recent executive order, he declared the enemy from within by defining what he means: Those who engage in behaviors like organized doxing campaigns, swatting, rioting and property crimes. But he also defined domestic terrorists as people and organizations who share motivations in common with people and organizations who do such things.
This "guilty by association" concept is Orwellian and un-American.
Furthermore, after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the MAGA movement engaged in a massive doxing campaign that ruined the lives of many Americans, in which the Vice President himself urged Americans to participate. It is certain that Trump is not going to pursue that kind of doxing campaign—the kind coming from the political right.
The White House's press release on that executive order makes clear that President Trump will specifically target organizations who declare Trumpism to be fascism, which is an ironically fascist thing to do.
In the speech today, Trump continues to set the framework for suppressing speech in the United States and using the military to invade American cities as war zones, not as peacekeepers, but as the enforcers of Trumpism and suppressors of American speech.
domestic terrorism priorities include politically motivated terrorist acts like organized doxing campaigns, swatting, rioting, and property crimes. The guidance will also identify behaviors, fact patterns, and recurrent motivations common to organizations and entities that coordinate these acts in order to stop political violence before it occurs.
