SNIPPET: Justice Department Removes Law Enforcement Officer Misconduct Database

The website was removed and is now a dead link.

The Justice Department announced it has removed a database that helps agencies and departments nationwide to avoid hiring law enforcement officers who were fired from other departments for misconduct. This was in response to an executive order from President Trump.

The United States has seen bad law enforcement officers fired from one department, get hired by a different department, and then commit murder while on duty.  The database was created to prevent this from happening.
