Eight Hundred Fired From NOAA

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is the first line of defense against major weather events in the United States. It provides the information used by every weather service and news station, who then inform the public. NOAA satellites also receive emergency beacons and saves lives.

Today, the Trump Administration fired 800 workers from the NOAA. We have seen from past firings, that the administration acts without any prior analysis and without regard to critical systems, sometimes scrambling to rehire workers who, for example, protect the United States nuclear arsenal. We don't know from where these employees were fired, or where they worked. As with so many other things, time will tell.

The Administration Lies About Standardized Tests for Police and Firefighters

Today, President Trump terminated suits brought against certain cities who were determined to discriminate against minorities and women when hiring firefighters and police officers. These suits found that the specific written tests were discriminatory, and the physical tests did not test for job readiness, but were designed to favor men, regardless of what the job entails.


The Trump administration's press release on the matter, instead claimed that the suits claimed discrimination because there was a written test and a physical test, which is a lie.

DEI Portal Allows People To Report When Civil Rights Laws Are Being Followed

The Department of Education released an online portal where parents, students, and anyone else can report instances of diversity, equity and inclusion in schools. Given that the people who hate diversity, equity and inclusion do not know the difference between DEI and human rights laws, I expect this will get real stupid, real fast, once that crowd learns about this portal. With that said, I have not seen any news outlets reporting on this, and that particular crowd doesn't do research and likely won't find this if their propagandists don't tell them about it.

In a February 27 press release on the Department of Education website, the department announced the End DEI portal, where stupid people will get to report every time a black person gets a job that a white person wanted, etc...
