The Elon Musk Arc Tracker

Prior to the inauguration, Elon Musk was well known for following Nazis on the social media platform he owns—the platform formerly known as Twitter. He not only followed them, but liked and shared their content. This page will be dedicated to his character arc starting with inauguration day, 2025. I may or may not make this more comprehensive, but I will at a minimum track major movements and their consequences, with regard to Elon Musk's work in the Trump administration.

During his inauguration speech on January 20, 2025, Elon Musk performed a Nazi salute, to grand applause.  Then he turned and gave a second one. Historians have had debates on whether he intended to invoke Nazism, with most of them concluding that, yes, he obviously and overtly did. Trumpists argue that Musk is autistic, and it was an involuntary autistic tic, which is clearly a ridiculous thing that idiots would think. But, to their credit, it's the best thing anyone can possibly come up with in his defense.

Later on inauguration day, instead of firing Elon Musk immediately, for invoking Nazism during the inauguration speech, President Trump established a new department and gave Elon Musk unprecedented access to information about all Americans.

Sometime near the beginning of February, Elon Musk was given access to all data from the US Department of Treasury. This includes information Americans provide to the IRS when they file tax returns, such as (but is not limited to): Names, social security numbers, birth dates, household composition, employers, self-employment, business profit and loss, financial accounts, information about other assets and net worth, etc...Elon Musk and his team do not have any kind of clearance. When reporters asked the White House press secretary if they've undergone background checks, her response was, "I don't know." 

USAID, which will likely disappear soon, was established under President Kennedy, to provide aid worldwide, and ease poverty, help with development, etc...Millions of people around the world have benefitted from programs funded by USAID. 

Musk's group, DOGE, fires people by simply turning off the funds for their programs and shutting down their access to systems, and ordering them not to show up for work.

February 11, 2025

In a press conference held in the Oval Office with President Trump today, President Trump reiterated that he is ordering all departments to coordinate and consult with Elon Musk to reduce the size of the Federal Government.

February 13, 2025

Musk stood behind the desk at the Oval Office with President Trump sitting mostly silently while he answered questions from the press. Musk's four-year-old son told President Trump, "You're not the President. You need to leave."  He also "shushed" the President. Trump looked down at his desk and didn't say a word about it.

February 14, 2025

Musk retweeted a post from President Trump at 2:14 PM (military time 14:14), on February 14, fourteen American flags. Trump's post states, "He who saves his Country does not violate any law." Musk's weird, with four iterations of fourteen caught the eye of white supremacists and human rights groups at the same time, because fourteen is a white supremacist creed that stands for the fourteen words: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." It is the most popular white supremacist slogan in the world.

February 19, 2025

President Trump issued two Executive Orders aimed at reducing the size of the Federal Government. Included in these orders are instructions for the proper use of DOGE. These instructions relegate DOGE to more of a consultant rather than decisionmakers. They will help agencies put together plans and proposals which will be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget for consideration. Also, all proposals are required to be constitutional and lawful. These orders come less than a week after Musk stood behind the President's desk, fielding questions, and allowing his son to trash-talk the President.

February 21, 2025

Today, at the Conservative Political Action Conference, Steve Bannon told the crowd that Trump is their leader, that he will be their leader in 2028, and then did a Nazi salute. The crowd responded with grand applause. I mention it here because Elon Musk did the same thing on inauguration day.

February 22, 2025

Elon Musk's ex wife, Grimes, has taken their child custody issue public, alleging that Elon Musk has taken their child without permission and has refused to respond to her private messages. She stated on the platform formerly known as Twitter, directed to Musk, that their child needs medical attention and he has refused to provide it to him and has refused to give the child back into her custody so that she can get him to the doctor. It is unknown at this time what medical problems the child has. However, it is very public that the child trash-talked the President to his face, likely resulting in the demotion of DOGE in an Executive Order given on February 19.

Elon posts an average of 60 times a day on former Twitter, which he owns. 

Also on February 22, Musk tweeted that Federal Employees needed to respond to an email from the Office of Management and Budget, and they needed to respond or they would lose their jobs. The email that was sent asked workers to justify their jobs by a deadline, but didn't threaten to fire them. 

February 24, 2025

Two days after the Office of Management and Budget sent the email I mentioned on February 22, agencies mostly balked at the request, and some ordered their employees not to respond at all. The Department of State told their employees to respond as if a malevolent State enemy were going to read them. 

Finally, President Trump announced that nobody would be fired for not responding. On the platform formerly known as Twitter, Elon Musk seemingly stayed up all night, posting about how great DOGE is.

In other news today, an Idaho contruction CEO resigned after peforming an enthusiastic Nazi salute in front of large monitors displaying a picture of President Trump.  I mention that here because Musk started the whole Nazi salute thing.

Elon Musk reported on X that Mexico billionaire Carlos Slim is involved in drug cartels, and Slim has responded by removing $22 billion in contracts from Elon Musk's Starlink and instead investing in Chinese and other communications contracts.

February 25, 2025

FOX News reports that Republican lawmakers are frustrated with Elon Musk's power at DOGE. Republican legislators feel left out of the loop. They agree, in principle, with cutting government waste, but want to be assured that the cuts are measured and legal. 

EVENING OF THE 25th: Later on February 25, as Republican politicians became increasingly angry at the Administration for all the nonsense and capricious firings, etc...The Administration announced that Elon Musk doesn't lead DOGE, and announced that Amy Gleason does. This is clearly nonsense, as Elon Musk wields all authority at DOGE. I believe this is the woman they plan to scapegoat. Time will tell.

Tesla stock has lost over $268 billion in market value in the last 30 days. That's about a 20% loss.

Today, Trump asked Musk to attend the cabinet meeting.  He asked, rhetorically, if any of his cabinet members had a problem with Elon Musk, and then answered the question for them, saying everyone loves him. One cabinet member said he was grateful for Musk's work.

March 7, 2025

In the last week or so, DOGE has removed billions more dollars in "savings" from its website, because DOGE lied about the savings it had made. Trump reiterated to his cabinet that DOGE is nothing more than a contractor, relegating Elon Musk into more of a back-seat role in government. This occurs under numerous threats of lawsuits against the administration with regard to the power Trump had given to DOGE.

Tesla stock has fallen 31% in the last month, more than $300 billion. Vigilante activists have burned and destroyed Tesla charging stations and Tesla vehicles. I am not in support of this destruction, but it is happening, and I think I should mention it.

The platform formerly known as Twitter, which Elon Musk purchased and then gutted and renamed a few years ago, was not working for tens of thousands of workers yesterday and today. This has happened several times since he purchased the platform. Musk fired key individuals who knew the programming and fixes. However, yesterday, Musk blamed hackers. I don't believe it was hackers, but who knows. It comes at a time when Tesla stock has lost more than 1/3 of its value and any public good will that Musk once had from the general public is now only confined to the American right wing.

President Trump held a "press conference" on the White House lawn, where he and Elon Musk, stood among a selection of Tesla vehicles, and Trump promised to purchase one and urged others to purchase the vehicles. In his comments, he said that the peaceful protests and boycotts against Tesla are "illegal. All of this raised the ire of ethics professionals as it's a clear conflict of interest and a clear demonstration of corruption right before our eyes. Of course, Trump, Musk, and all of MAGA couldn't care less about corruption or ethics.

I've been looking at the price to earnings-per-share ratio of Tesla compared to Ford, Chevy and Dodge. These companies all have working EV pickups. You can pull up to a construction site, plug all your tools into your TRUCK, and you're all set.

The price to EPS ratio for Ford, Chevy and Dodge are all within the "good" range for established companies where hefty competition exists: Below 25.

Tesla has a price to earnings ratio above 120. You would only expect this from a company that is new and focused on growth, and which has little to no competition. I would expect this ratio for Tesla back when it was roaring to life and almost no other car manufacturer was making EVs. But in today's market, it's a terrible sign. Tesla is losing market share worldwide. Its period of exponential growth (if Trump doesn't intervene like a dictator), is over.

Someone leaked to the media that Musk was receiving classified briefings from the Department of Defense. Although the administration denied this, the administration also launched an intense investigation into who told the media the fact that Musk receives classified Defense briefings. They're not so smart, these people.

Musk sold the platform formerly known as Twitter to his AI company, which he owns, for $33 billion. He purchased Twitter a few years ago for $44 billion, wrecked it, and made it a safe haven for Nazis and other kinds of terrible people, and renamed it "X"

In two recent interviews Musk's voice appeared to crack and he seemed on the verge of tears while discussing the state of his companies.

Musk publicly stated during a video call with right wing extremists in Italy, that he wants a 0% tariff with Europe. This break with Trump has hit the news pretty hard.

Musk has reported he will step back from government in May, and focus on running his businesses. Tesla stock has lost half its value since the inauguration. He has been on the verge of tears talking about how mean people have been to him. Good riddance.

I haven't mentioned Musk here, because he has gone silent in the Trump Administration. After Musk's humiliating failure in Wisconsin, where he spent $25 million on a losing campaign. And, after the vast majority of his "savings" in government were proven to be lies, Trump simply stopped mentioning him at all and has not mentioned him for over a month on Truth social. He also doesn't mention him anywhere else.

 The last week has marked the spectacular end and destruction of the relationship between the most powerful man in the world and the richest man in the world. 

Elon Musk left Washington and resigned from DOGE and immediately went to his social media platform, formerlly known as Twitter, and criticized what Trump calls a "Big Beautiful Bill."  This spending bill will raise the debt by trillions of dollars, and it cuts tax subsidies for electric vehicles. This directly harms Elon Musk's business, Tesla, which has thrived on Federal subsidies.

President Trump responded during a televised interview that he doesn't know what was wrong with Elon Musk. 

Musk continued on former Twitter: "Without me, Trump would have lost the election," implying that his presence alone pushed Trump to the win. However, this fuels the theory that Musk somehow tampered with the voting numbers during the election and added votes in certain states to win the election. 

Yesterday, Musk reported that the reason the Jeffrey Epstein pedophile and human trafficking files have not been released is because Trump is in them. Numerous photographs, flight logs, and even a lawsuit where Trump and Epstein were co-defendants, point to this, but few people from Trump's inner circle have ever said it out loud. Further, during his time at DOGE, Musk was illegally given access to any files he wanted to see. Still, he is also a liar, so it's impossible to say whether he actually knows what is in the still-classified portions of the Epstein files. With that said, this declaration was a shot across the bow.

As of yesterday, Trump threatened on Truth social to terminate all government contracts with Musk's companies. This would include the Starlink satellite internet contracts and Space X contracts. NASA contracts with Space X to provide supplies and people to the International Space Station. Musk fired back, declaring he will decommission the spacecrafts pre-emptively. 

Meanwhile, Steven Bannon, a fascist, who once held a position in Trump's life similar to Elon Musk over the last 6 months, has asked the president to nullify Musk's citizenship and deport him as a criminal alien, and has called for the government to take control of Musk's company Space X.

As expected, the algorithms of the various social media platforms where these men receive and accept their reality have taken them down common rabbit holes in which they are only shown supportive memes and statements from others, and therefore they both think everyone is on their side.

I feel that this spat will simply die and become part of history. But if there are any further crazy developments, I'll comment more.
