Director of the Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem—best known for killing a puppy when it ruined a day of hunting—announced a complete leadership change at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This comes after over a month of ICE's underperformance in the eyes of Trump and certainly also Noem, who would like to deport millions of undocumented immigrants. I believe we will see a new push for apprehensions, possibly the kinds of stop-and-arrest activities we saw in the earliest days of Trump's second administration. I wrote about one event several weeks ago here, in which ICE was using racial profiling to try to find undocumented immigrants, detaining American Citizens in the process.
In other news, the Department of Health and Human Services is investigating hospitals accused of working toward equal opportunity for minority and disadvantaged groups. This is part of Trump's wider efforts to stamp out diversity, equity and inclusion in the United States. As part of the press release, DHHS shared its online form, where people can report when they feel diversity, equity or inclusion have happened.

On the immigration issue, the Trump Administration has moved the Social Security Numbers of over 6,000 immigrants to "deceased" in the database, to eliminate their ability to legally work in the United States, hoping they will deport themselves. As always, cruelty is the administration's answer to everything.
